Speakers?
BTTG CHRIS BUTCHER 11.10.23 002Chris Butcher, Certification Manager for BTTG® in the UK and Shirley® in Ireland. Chris has over 30 years' experience in testing and certification of protective clothing and other technical textile products. He is a technical expert in garment performance and design and has extensive experience in the Certification of PPE, Marine Equipment and Construction Products. Chris was Convenor of the PPE notified body coordination group VG5 for protective clothing and gloves for more than a decade.

Gareth Heywood, Laboratory Manager for Shirley®. Through 20 years in the Shirley® chemistry department and participation in working groups and standards committees, Gareth has extensive knowledge of chemical testing, restrictions, and the role of chemicals in the textile industry. Coupling this with a broad understanding of multiple levels of textile manufacturing enables him to support our clients with regulatory barriers, OEKO-TEX® certification, investigations, and manufacturing challenges.
