What's happening?
On Wednesday 12th July, Certification Manager, Chris Butcher is hosting a seminar on the EN 1149 Antistatic Clothing, the seminar will provide an overview on the following;

•              Basic principles of static electricity and explosive atmospheres
•              The hazards and consequences of static sparks
•              Types of antistatic materials and their EN 1149 test methods
•              EN 1139-5 design requirements explained
•              Antistatic PPE ensembles - whole system approach
•              Non PPE antistatic end-users and standards

Who should attend?
•              Manufacturers and users of antistatic PPE and protective clothing

Cost? £95 per person for non-members, PPE Club members can attend free of charge for up to two delegates
CHRIS BUTCHER 02.08.22 001Speaker? Chris Butcher, Certification Manager for BTTG® in the UK and Shirley® in Ireland. Chris has over 30 years' experience in testing and certification of protective clothing and other technical textile products. He is a technical expert in garment performance and design and has extensive experience in the Certification of PPE, Marine Equipment and Construction Products. Chris was Convenor of the PPE notified body coordination group VG5 for protective clothing and gloves for more than a decade.
