Our Certification Manager and Technical Specialist, Chris Butcher, joins experts from around the world in presenting on subjects that matter most to the Industrial Emergency Services.
Chris Butcher will be presenting on 7th March from 16:00-16:30 to give ‘An Update on Firefighter Standards in UK / EU / Worldwide’.
Join Chris as he discusses what’s happening with firefighting clothing standards around the world, with a unique opportunity to participate in a Q&A after his presentation.
Chris has over 35 years’ experience at BTTG in testing and certification. A technical expert in garment performance and design; he has conducted extensive research and development particularly in High Visibility Clothing. A specialist in Electrostatics through laboratory work and research to developing testing methods in this area. He has extensive experience of the Certification of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Marine Equipment and Construction Products. A member of several BSI, CEN & ISO standard committees for PPE, Heat and Flame protective clothing and Electrostatics. Chris was Convenor of the PPE Notified Body group VG5, for clothing and gloves, for more than a decade.
