Firefighter’s PPE Clothing Standards for Structural, Wildland and RescueWednesday 13th May 2026 · 10:00am – 1:30pm · Online, or in person in Manchester.
Protective clothing for firefighters operates at the intersection of life-critical performance and increasingly complex standards. Whether the environment is a structural fire, a wildland incident, or a technical rescue scenario, the clothing worn must meet precisely defined requirements - and those requirements are evolving.
For manufacturers, distributors, buyers, and users operating in this space, understanding the current standards landscape, and where it is heading, is not a peripheral concern. It is central to product development, procurement, and compliance.
BTTG® is pleased to offer our specialist seminar on EN and ISO standards for firefighters' protective clothing - a focused, expert-led session designed to give you a comprehensive and up-to-date view of the standards governing this sector.
Why attend?
With revisions underway across several key standards and new proposals in development, 2026 is a significant year for anyone involved in firefighters' PPE. This seminar brings together the current requirements and the emerging direction in a single, accessible session, delivered by one of the UK's leading experts in protective clothing certification.
What you will learn
Our specialist speaker will provide a thorough overview of:
• Structural firefighting protective clothing to EN 469 and ISO 11999
• Wildland firefighting protective clothing standards
• Technical Rescue and Stationwear standards
• Current revisions and future proposals across the standards landscape
There will also be time for questions, giving you the opportunity to raise specific challenges relevant to your products, procurement decisions, or compliance obligations.
Who should attend?
This event is aimed at manufacturers, distributors, buyers, and users of firefighters' protective clothing, as well as anyone with a professional interest in the future direction of protective clothing standards.
